Job summary

Jekyll Island Authority in Georgia is seeking a full-time Park Services custodian to perform cleaning and related tasks across public facilities on the island. The role requires 40 hours per week and availability on weekends, holidays, and some evenings to help ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, restocking supplies, pressure washing shelters and walkways, and maintaining building cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months of experience in cleaning and maintenance (or related).
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow guidelines and work independently; good communication skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and able to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial work necessary to maintain buildings and grounds; scrubs, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes, and polishes floors; cleans restrooms; removes trash.
• Cleans public restrooms, restocks bathroom tissue, cleans mirrors and floors, and applies air fresheners.
• Ensures adequate cleaning supplies are maintained on route truck daily; requests and picks up supplies from the warehouse.
• Safely operates motor vehicle to locations on assigned route.
• Pressure wash shelters, tables, and walkways as required.
• Picks up and disposes of trash and debris and removes trash from bins as required.
