St Simons By-the-Sea seeks a Mental Health Technician to support patients in a 101-bed behavioral health hospital. You will assist with meals, activities, and programming, promoting a structured, caring environment on St Simons Island, GA.

The team emphasizes safety, compassionate care, and collaborative treatment planning. The role involves crisis intervention when needed, fostering trust and dignity, and partnering with Clinical and Admissions teams to support patient assessments and care

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Experience of 1+ year in behavioral health preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide steady, supportive presence guiding patients through meals, activities and programming.
• Maintain safety by anticipating challenges and calmly de-escalating situations.
• Build trust-based relationships through communication, active listening, and encouragement of healthy behaviors.
• Collaborate with Clinical and Admissions teams to support screenings and assessments.
• Support daily living needs, promoting independence and patient dignity.
