Coastal Harbor Health System in Savannah, GA is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support patients during critical moments, provide attentive care and supervision, and contribute to each patient’s treatment journey as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will observe, document behaviors, de-escalate crises when needed, and build trust-based relationships while encouraging healthy routines and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• 1+ year of experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Be a steady, supportive presence guiding patients through meals, activities, and programming.
• Maintain safety by anticipating challenges and calmly de-escalating situations.
• Build trust-based relationships through positive communication and encouragement of healthy behaviors.
• Partner with Clinical and Admissions teams to support screenings and assessments.
• Support daily living needs and promote patient independence.
