Job summary

The City of Corpus Christi is seeking a Beach Rescue Trainer to supervise, train, schedule, evaluate, and certify staff in the Beach Rescue Division. This role performs lifeguard duties as needed and manages daily lifeguard operations.

Responsibilities include leading the Lifeguard Academy, planning training schedules, reviewing time sheets, coordinating with supervisors, and representing the City in public forums to promote support for beach rescue programs and funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required.
• Three (3) years of previous experience in lifeguard supervision or related roles.
• Demonstrate ability to swim 500 meters (550 yards) in ten minutes or less.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of Lifeguards and Lifeguard Academy staff.
• Develop weekly training reports and address personnel issues.
• Review timesheets and schedule lifeguard staff.
• Represent the City in public forums to support beach rescue programs and funding.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
