Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or related field as specified.
• Two years of professional paid environmental regulatory work experience involving enforcement.
• One year of professional, paid work experience involving enforcement regulations or environmental programs.
• Substitution: Master's degree may substitute for one year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee debris management and landfilling operations programs.
• Manage environmental pollution control laws/regulations for waste disposal.
• Develop and update programs and policies.
• Coordinate and provide technical support to interdepartmental personnel, contractors and industry representatives in solid waste management and disposal.
• Provide oversight to division staff and manage the division.
• Perform specialized environmental inspection, field sampling, construction tasks as needed.
