Job summary

Stantec is seeking a driven Coastal Engineering Project Manager/Senior Coastal Engineer to join our expanding Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice. The role is preferably based in Tampa, Florida, with flexible work arrangements in Florida. You will lead coastal projects across the U.S.

and potentially Canada, providing leadership in coastal risk, hydrodynamics, and environmental restoration. You will mentor staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to business development

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Science or Engineering with 7+ years of experience in coastal disciplines.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering with 10+ years of experience in one of the listed areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated expertise in coastal zone management, resilience planning, and related coastal disciplines.
• Provide senior-level project management and leadership for coastal projects across the U.S. and potentially Canada.
• Lead and deliver complex projects in coastal, estuarine, and marine environments.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate technical project phases with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare scopes of work, fee proposals, project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Support business development through proposal development and marketing efforts.
• Provide construction management and related administrative services.
• Mentor staff involved in coastal investigations, planning, and design.
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external coastal professionals and support staff, communicating clearly and applying best practices.
