Job summary

Stantec seeks a Coastal Engineering Project Manager/Senior Coastal Engineer to lead a growing Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice. Based in Tampa, FL with flexible arrangements, you’ll guide coastal projects across North America, focusing on risk, hydrodynamics, and resilience planning.

You will mentor staff, oversee design and construction of coastal works, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while expanding services in the region.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Science or Engineering with 7+ years of related experience; or Bachelor of Science with 10+ years of related experience.
• Current registration as Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Science Professional is preferred.
• ACOPNE Certification and Diplomat in Coastal Port, Ocean and/or Navigation Engineering are preferred.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership in coastal projects across regions; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level project management and leadership for coastal projects across the U.S. and possibly Canada.
• Lead complex projects in coastal, estuarine, and marine environments.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate technical project phases with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare scopes of work, fees, budgets, and schedules; support business development.
