Job summary

Stantec in Tampa, FL is seeking a driven Coastal Engineering Project Manager/Senior Coastal Engineer to lead a growing Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice. You will provide senior-level project management, mentoring, and technical leadership for coastal, estuarine, and marine projects across the U.S.

and potentially Canada. The role emphasizes coastal risk, hydrodynamics, and climate resilience, with responsibilities spanning scopes of work, budgets, and business development.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Science or Engineering with 7+ years of experience in coastal areas.
• Strong licensure as PE or Science professional with coastal focus.
• ACOPNE Certification.
• Diplomat in Coastal Port, Ocean and/or Navigation Engineering.
• Demonstrated project experience through publications and presentations.
• Solid understanding of Coastal Zone Management market and trends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated expertise in coastal zone management, resilience planning, and related coastal disciplines.
• Provides senior-level project management and leadership for coastal projects across the U.S. and potentially Canada.
• Leads and delivers complex projects in coastal, estuarine, and marine environments.
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates technical project phases with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepares scopes of work, fee proposals, budgets, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Supports business development through proposals and marketing.
• Provides construction management and related administrative services.
• Mentors staff involved in coastal investigations, planning, and design.
• Coordinates with internal and external coastal professionals following best practices.
