Job summary

Stantec is seeking a driven Coastal Engineering Project Manager/Senior Coastal Engineer to join our Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice. The role calls for strong project leadership and deep coastal engineering expertise, with a preference for Tampa, Florida, and flexibility for other Florida locations or remote arrangements.

The successful candidate will lead coastal projects across the U.S. (and potentially Canada), oversee multidisciplinary teams, and drive growth in our coastal services

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Science or Engineering with 7+ years of experience in coastal topics such as management, hydrodynamics, and morphology.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering with 10+ years of experience in one of the listed coastal areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated expertise in coastal zone management, resilience planning, and related coastal disciplines.
• Provides senior-level project management and leadership for coastal projects across the U.S. and potentially Canada.
• Leads and delivers complex projects in coastal, estuarine, and marine environments.
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates technical project phases while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepares scopes of work, fee proposals, project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Supports business development through proposal development and marketing efforts.
• Provides construction management and related administrative services.
• Mentors and oversees staff involved in coastal investigations, planning, and design.
• Coordinates effectively with internal and external coastal professionals and support staff, communicating clearly and applying best practices in coastal zone management.
