Job summary

Nautilus Construction is seeking a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to join our in-person team in Kennebunk, Maine. The role requires on-site presence and collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to manage coastal residential projects from pre-construction through completion.

We welcome applicants with 1–3 years of residential construction experience for the Assistant PM track or 5+ years for the PM track, and a degree in Construction Management or

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of residential construction experience (co-op/internships count) or 5+ years for PM track
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Basic understanding of construction processes and materials
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to grow into a Project Manager role
• Experience with Co-Construct a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage or support residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion
• Coordinate scheduling, weekly look-aheads, and project milestones
• Lead or participate in meetings with Lead Carpenters and project teams
• Prepare and manage change orders, budgets, and project documentation
• Coordinate materials, selections, vendors, subcontractors, architects, and consultants
• Monitor costs, approve expenditures, and identify opportunities for savings
• Maintain quality control, safety standards, and accurate project records
• Communicate project updates with clients and senior management
• Maintain documentation in Co-Construct (or similar project management software)
