Job summary

O.R. Colan Associates, LLC is seeking a Utilities Right of Way Title Agent to support projects nationwide from a home-based setting. This remote role requires extensive travel coast to coast and a flexible schedule to meet client needs.

You will conduct title searches, review deeds and related documents, compile Title Reports, and ensure accuracy and compliance in title information while collaborating with a national team.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing titles and title reports.
• Experience verifying property ownerships, mortgages, liens, and judgments.
• Able to identify key information about parcels and communicate clearly to owners.
• Proficient reading of deeds, legal descriptions, plats, and easements; producing a chain of title.
• Comfortable with real estate terminology and determining title evidence requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real estate title searches using online databases and in-person visits to county courthouses.
• Retrieve and review documents such as deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, and plats.
• Compile accurate findings into client-provided Title Reports, ensuring completeness and reliability of title information.
• Verify and document all relevant instruments required to complete thorough and compliant title searches.
