Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold valid US Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document and STCW training.
• Extensive knowledge of US Coast Guard regulations.
• Medical clearance that meets US Coast Guard requirements.
• Strong ability to supervise vessel crew and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the vessel and ensure safety of passengers and crew.
• Supervise vessel crew in safety procedures.
• Monitor engine room and machinery for maintenance procedures.
• Supervise US Coast Guard drills and inspections as required.
• Assist with US Coast Guard inspections when required.
• Ensure all US Coast Guard and FCC inspections are conducted as required.
• Maintain accurate daily vessel logs and reports as required by law.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental rules and safe working practices.
• Communicate with inter-department teams to establish operational efficiencies.
