Job summary

Southwest Human Development is Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development. The Inclusion Coach provides individualized coaching to child care centers to support inclusive practices, conducts assessments, and develops improvement plans.

Travel to Northwest Maricopa and Phoenix sites is required; a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and 3 years of related experience are essential, with knowledge of NAEYC Code of Ethics and developmentally appropriate practices.

  • Support the adoption of inclusive practices that promote positive outcomes for all children.
  • Connect centers with community resources and services to address identified needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide ongoing guidance, support, and follow-up.

Job title: Inclusion Coach

The Inclusion Coach will provide individualized coaching, consultation, and training to child care centers to support high-quality, inclusive practices. This role conducts assessments, facilitates the development and implementation of customized center improvement plans, connects centers with relevant community resources, and delivers targeted training and support based on identified needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide individualized coaching, consultation, training, and support to child care centers to enhance quality and performance.
  • Conduct assessments to identify strengths, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with centers to develop and implement customized improvement plans.
  • Support the adoption of inclusive practices that promote positive outcomes for all children.
  • Connect centers with community resources and services to address identified needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide ongoing guidance, support, and follow-up.
  • Build strong relationships with center staff, families, and community partners to promote quality improvement efforts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Three (3) years related experience in early childcare education
  • Knowledge of NAEYC Code of Ethics
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early care and education
  • Knowledge of effective inclusion practices for center-based environments
  • Knowledge of child development during birth through age 5
  • Possess an insured & registered vehicle and a valid AZ driver’s license.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • DES Criminal Affidavit Required
  • AZ DHS Criminal History Affidavit Required
