Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a 9th Grade Lead Baseball Coach for Sr. High to provide leadership on the field and in practices. Reporting to the AD, this district-wide assignment supports student-athletes and school athletic programs.

The role emphasizes game strategy, safety, and effective communication with families and staff. Previous coaching experience is preferred, with a focus on mentorship and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.
