Job summary

Tucson Unified School District's Lineweaver Elementary is seeking a temporary supplemental hourly coach to promote sportsmanship and safety for student-athletes. You will supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses during the season.

Required NFHS certifications, CPR with AED, First Aid, and Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance; immunization proof and post-hire training are also needed. This position is temporary and not eligible for district benefits.

Qualifications

• NFHS concussion/sportsmanship certifications required.
• CPR with AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Measles/rubella immunization proof (MMR) required.
• Bloodborne pathogen training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote sportsmanship and foster good character among student-athletes.
• Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants.
• Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, buses and during the season.
• Interact with players, parents, co-workers, officials and spectators with diplomacy.

Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior, and interactions with our student-athletes should be reflective of this.

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department*
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
