Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a temporary Student-Athlete Supervisor for Utterback Middle School to promote sportsmanship and ensure the safety and welfare of all participants during the season.

Role includes supervising practice areas, locker rooms, and buses, with emphasis on patient, diplomatic interactions with players, parents, and officials. This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate (at employee's expense) Sportsmanship Course
• NFHS Concussion certificate Concussion in Sports Course
• ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (must review PowerPoint and sign a document affirming PowerPoint has been reviewed)
• Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training OR NFHSStudent Mental Health and Suicide Preventioncertificate Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course
• Current CPR w/AED (Online classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
• Current First Aid (Online classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department*
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
