Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a supplemental hourly supervisor for Lineweaver Elementary School. The role focuses on promoting sportsmanship and the safety of student-athletes during practices and events.

Responsibilities include supervising in practice areas, locker rooms, and buses, while maintaining courteous and professional interactions with players, parents, staff, officials, and spectators throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Concussion safety certification required.
• Sportsmanship and mental health prevention certificates required.
• CPR with AED current.
• First Aid current.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card current.

Job description

SUMMARY

Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior, and interactions with our student-athletes should be reflective of this.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• NFHS Concussion certificate Concussion in Sports Course
• NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate Sportsmanship Course Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training OR NFHSStudent Mental Health and Suicide Preventioncertificate Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course
• Current CPR w/AED (On-lineclassesare not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department*
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
