Job summary

The Schenck School in Atlanta, Georgia seeks Long-Term & Short-Term Substitute Teachers to support classrooms and keep students engaged in a dyslexia-focused program.

You will work within a collaborative co-teaching model, assist with daily routines, and maintain open communication with educators, students and parents. A Bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience are required; Orton-Gillingham experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
• Prior teaching experience required.
• O-G experience highly regarded.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Substitute in classrooms as needed to support teachers.
• Collaborate in a co-taught environment and provide instruction to students.
• Maintain daily communication with teachers, students and parents.
• Assist with daily carpool, lunch, and recess duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal or Head of School.
