Job summary

Specialized Assessment & Consulting in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Dyslexia Teacher to provide targeted instruction to eligible students. You will work with small groups of 4–6, monitor progress, and participate in weekly sessions and ARD-related activities.

The role requires TEA teaching certification, a bachelor's degree, and at least two years of dyslexia experience, with familiarity of Neuhaus, Reading by Design, Barton, or Orton-Gillingham curriculums preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current TEA Teacher Certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing dyslexia services.
  • Experience with specified dyslexia curriculums preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dyslexia instruction to qualifying students in small groups.
  • Attend ARD meetings and consult with school staff.

Job description

Dyslexia Teacher job for a part time position providing dyslexia instruction to qualifying students, attending ARD meetings, and consulting with school staff. This job is in person located in Houston, TX 77008 for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The Dyslexia teacher will be working with 10 students in small groups of 4 and 6. Meeting weekly for 1 hour, 30 minutes for each group.

Dyslexia Teacher rates start at $43/hr

Qualifications for Dyslexia Teacher positions
  • Current TEA Teacher Certification
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing dyslexia services to school-aged children
  • Experience using Neuhaus, Reading by Design, Barton, or Orton-Gillingham curriculums
