Job summary

Athol-Royalston Regional School District seeks a licensed Special Education Teacher (Moderate Disabilities) for Athol-Royalston Middle School in Athol, MA. The teacher will co-teach with a general educator in an inclusive setting, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth through rigorous, growth-focused instruction.

The position requires collaboration with Pupil Services and the Special Education Coordinator, ability to lead IEP meetings, and strong communication with families

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Massachusetts teaching license.
• SEI Endorsement required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents to foster partnership for school success.
• Collaborate with Director of Pupil Services and Special Education Coordinator as well as school administration regularly.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and develop IEP's through a team process.
• Works well with community members, parents, and students.
