United Counseling Service in Vermont is seeking a Co-Teacher for our Early Head Start program to supervise a group of eight infants and toddlers and support comprehensive services. The role includes planning, supervision, and delivering high-quality early childhood activities.

The position emphasizes family engagement, adherence to Vermont licensing standards, and ongoing opportunities for professional development, supervision, and licensure support within a collaborative center environment.

Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA required or obtain CDA within 6 months of Hire.
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Computer skills including typing.

Responsibilities

• Primary caregiver for a group of eight infants and toddlers; supervise and implement the program.
• Create lesson plans reflecting children’s needs, including those with disabilities or chronic health conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily progress records and reports for families.
• Engage parents through conferences, home visits, and home learning activities.
• Provide supervision and training for assistant teachers and interns.
