Job summary

United Counseling Service of Bennington County Inc. is seeking a Co-Teacher for Early Head Start to supervise a small group of infants and toddlers and deliver comprehensive services.

The role requires an Infant/Toddler CDA or the ability to obtain one within six months, with a preferred Bachelor’s in early childhood education. You will work under the center framework to implement curriculum faithfully, monitor developmental progress, and engage families through conferences and home visits.

Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA required or CDA to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Typing and basic computer skills are required.
• Ongoing trainings and education are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for up to four infants/toddlers or five two-year-olds in a 2-year-old class.
• Plan, supervise, and implement the program according to policies and philosophy.
• Create a safe, welcoming, culturally respectful learning environment.
• Monitor child progress with ongoing assessments and maintain records.
• Conduct two parent conferences and two home visits annually.
• Support the center manager and supervise assistants when needed.
