Job summary

VOALA in Los Angeles is seeking a Co-Teacher to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. You will create a safe, engaging environment with varied activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children aged 0–5.

You will implement double-session curricula, plan activities with the Family Advocate, and collaborate with staff to integrate health, nutrition and mental health services. On-site work is required, following licensing and safety standards.

Qualifications

AA in ECE/CD with 24 units in ECE/CD or AA in related field with 24 CD units.

Responsibilities

Provide a planned program of activities that fosters social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
Implement the Head Start curriculum for double sessions and coordinate activities with the Family Advocate.
Integrate Head Start services into learning, including parent involvement, nutrition, health, and mental health services.
Maintain records and submit monthly paperwork accurately and on time.
Ensure a learning environment that respects diverse cultural backgrounds and meets licensing and safety requirements.
