Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher/Center Specialist to support nurturing adult-child interactions and implement a curriculum aligned with Head Start standards for ages 3–5, including assessments and DL/Disabilities considerations.

The role requires meal prep, coordinating parent meetings, aiding in PreK Round-Up, documenting in-kind contributions, and recruiting volunteers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA or BA in Early Childhood or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience working with children ages 3–5 years.

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist Teacher/Center Specialist in providing effective and nurturing adult-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation, use of assessment, and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages three to Five and applicable state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare or assist with meal preparation according to schedules
2. Promote attendance at parent meetings
3. Attend and assist in PreK Round-Up as assigned
4. Obtain and document In-kind
5. Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans in accordance with guidelines/training
6. Recruit ECP volunteers

8. Participate in all required meetings and trainings

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or GED required (Prefer AA or BA in Early Childhood or related field)
2. Valid driver's license
3. Previous experience working with children ages 3-5 years old

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

PAY: $15.98 - $17.65/hour (depending on qualifications)
