Mental Health Cooperative in Nashville, TN is seeking a Co-Response Crisis Counselor for REACH with Metro Nashville Fire Department. This position delivers face-to-face crisis intervention and care coordination, riding along with Fire Department to respond to mental health calls and provide community support.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work, a Tennessee driver's license, and a solid grounding in DSM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work.
• Crisis intervention training or experience.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face crisis intervention to individuals in psychiatric emergency.
• Coordinate care and services with internal and external resources.
• Ride along with Fire Department to respond to mental health calls.
• Assess risk and determine least restrictive options.
• Make appropriate referrals to facilities and EPS treatment services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per department guidelines.
