Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Innovative Medicine division in Spring House, PA, seeks a Co-Op for six months (January–June 2027, flexible), full-time and on-site. The role supports cell line engineering, proteomics, metabolomics, and analytical platform development to advance biologics manufacturing.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with CHO cell biology, LC-MS/MS analytics, and platform automation while collaborating with scientists to improve titer and product quality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate freshman year completed and pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a related science.

Responsibilities

• Supporting cell line engineering and cell culture research activities focused on improving productivity, product quality, and manufacturing performance.
• Developing, optimizing, and implementing proteomics and metabolomics workflows to characterize cellular pathways and molecular drivers.
• Supporting the development of analytical platforms for cell line selection, characterization, and monitoring.
• Performing sample preparation, method development, and analysis for LC-MS/MS, mass spectrometry, proteomics, and metabolomics studies.
• Generating and analyzing Host Cell Protein (HCP) profiles to support cell line development and characterization.
• Supporting high-throughput and automated analytical workflows to improve efficiency and reproducibility.
• Developing and refining workflows for biological sample analysis and data interpretation.
• Investigating protein function and networks to identify targets that improve productivity and product quality.
• Collaborating with upstream teams on cell culture performance and process optimization.
• Operating analytical instrumentation and supporting technology transfer, validation, and implementation.
