Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Malvern, PA, seeks a highly motivated Co‑Op for the TDS Proteins Development Material Sciences team. The role focuses on automating LC-MS sample preparation for cell culture media and bioreactor samples, and advancing analytical method development.

You will gain hands-on experience with laboratory automation, LC-MS instrumentation, data processing, and experimental design in a collaborative setting. This is a full-time, on-site six-month program from January to June 2027.

Qualifications

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher across all college coursework.
• Must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated LC-MS sample preparation methods for cell culture media and in-process bioreactor samples.
• Adopt manual sample preparation methods to robotic platforms to increase testing capacity.
• Perform manual sample preparation methods to compare and evaluate automated workflows.
• Support analytical method development, optimization, and implementation.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and document findings.
