Messer Construction Co. is seeking Project Engineer Co-ops to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

This position supports on-site project management and engineering tasks, working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to learn construction delivery processes on complex healthcare and higher education projects. You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a focus on construction processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree required. Civil Engineering or Construction Management with focus on construction processes preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Site and building layout.
• Document control.
• Quality control.
• Field production analysis.
• Project controls input (scheduling, cost reporting, PM solutions).
• Subcontractor and work force coordination.
• Shop drawing/submittal control.
• Material and equipment expediting.
• Subcontractor/supplier solicitation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with using an iPad.
