Job summary
Cleveland-Cliffs invites students and new graduates to join as a Process Control Co‑Op in Middletown, OH for Spring or Summer terms. You will work beside engineering and operations leaders on software development, automation maintenance, process modeling, and systems integration across plant environments.
Enrollment in a BS program in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or related field is required, with sophomore year completed by Summer 2027; you must be legally authorized to work in the
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a BS program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Completion of sophomore year by Summer 2027; eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Software development across languages and hardware platforms.
- Maintenance of computer hardware and software and automation systems.
- Modify automation to adapt to new products and processes.
- Address issues impacting production or system reliability.
- Process modeling for mill processes in chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical domains.
- Administer operating systems and relational databases.
- Work with vision systems, RFID/barcode tagging, X-ray and gauging systems.
- Coordinate with production, vendors, R&D and other staff departments.
