Eaton's IS AER FMC division is seeking a Co-op: Manufacturing Engineer (Machine Shop) for Spring 2027 in Jackson, Mississippi. The role offers an hourly rate of $22.15–$27.69.

This program provides meaningful projects with coaching, training, and opportunities to apply real-world lean methods. You will assist manufacturing engineers by planning, machining, assembling and testing hydraulic components for aerospace and military applications, while collaborating with quality, procurement and design

Qualifications

• Current student at Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior level, or recently graduated with a bachelor\'s in industrial or mechanical engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• ITAR requires U.S. persons (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).

Responsibilities

• Assist machining, assembly and testing of hydraulic components for aerospace and military applications.
• Cross-functional interaction with quality, procurement and design teams.
• Perform production analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Learn lean concepts and participate in lean "kaizens".
• Design and model machining and assembly fixtures and cutting tools.
• Operate and maintain 3D printers.
• Develop monthly performance reports via ERP and Access databases; utilize ERP for planning work orders.
