Job summary

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is seeking a Co-op: Manufacturing Engineer (Machine Shop) for Spring 2027 in Jackson, MS. The role supports machining, assembling and testing hydraulic components for aerospace and military applications.

You will interact cross-functionally with quality, procurement and design, perform production analyses, learn lean kaizens, design fixtures and tooling, operate 3D printers, and generate ERP/Access reports during the program’s structured training cycle.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior or recently graduated with a bachelor’s in industrial or mechanical engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• ITAR: U.S. person required (citizen, permanent resident, or eligible status).

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineers with planning, machining, assembling and testing hydraulic components and systems for aerospace and military applications.
• Interact cross-functionally with quality, procurement and design teams.
• Perform production analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Learn lean concepts and participate in kaizens.
• Design and model fixtures and cutting tools; operate 3D printers.
• Develop monthly performance reports via ERP and Access databases.
