Qualifications

• Enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent field.
• Available for up to a 6-month Co-op at Wilson NC site.
• Solid medical device and/or combination product testing knowledge.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and scientific principles.
• Analytical characterization skills, e.g. test method development, data analysis.
• Experience with mechanical testing, imaging, and measurement equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling & 2D drawing creation (Solidworks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with GD&T and stack-up analysis.
• Understanding plastics processing and manufacturing processes & automation.
• Knowledge of FEA and CFD.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support device production and processing development technology projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings.
• Present research results orally and in writing to stakeholders.
• Contribute to proof-of-concept development and prototyping.
