Qualifications

• Must hold one of the credentials LPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT or be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a behavioral science field with intent to pursue licensure.
• Must meet Idaho Code requirements for a Qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional.
• Experience in counseling and knowledge of licensure rules is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to maintain electronic health records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Empower clients through individual and group counseling to support recovery.
• Complete and maintain accurate records or reports of clients’ histories and progress.
• Develop client treatment plans based on research, clinical experience, and histories.
• Document individualized care plans in the medical record promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate counseling with other health professionals and community resources.
• Interview clients and review records to assess suitability for programs.
• Review progress against measurable goals in treatment plans.
• Provide information about addiction issues and available services; refer when needed.
• Coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, and community services.
• Attend off-site meetings or seminars as required.
• Conduct mental health and substance use assessments, including functional assessments.
