Job summary

David is seeking a Director on the Manufacturing team in NYC to own relationships with co-manufacturing partners, drive performance metrics, and lead cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications

• 8+ years in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment such as manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or startups.
• Strong relationship management skills with external partners.
• Ownership mentality; proactive problem identification and resolution.

• Direct communicator comfortable handling challenging conversations.

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with key co-manufacturing partners as the primary point of contact for performance, priorities, risks, and escalations.
• Lead performance reviews and quarterly business reviews with clearly defined metrics and accountability.
• Own KPIs including production attainment, OTIF, RFT, throughput, yield, scrap, cost per pound, quality, and complaints.
• Identify gaps, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions with measurable results.
• Drive continuous improvement in throughput, yield, quality, service, and cost with partners.
• Understand partner capabilities and economics to inform allocation and strategy.
• Collaborate with Planning to manage capacity and support growth.
• Represent partners internally, communicating capabilities and tradeoffs for decisions.
• Partner with Quality, R&D, Procurement, Finance, Fulfillment, and Commercialization on priorities and launches.
• Develop analytical tools and reporting to increase visibility and drive performance.
• Lead high-impact initiatives from problem definition to execution with clear ownership.
