Job summary

Books A Million is seeking a Co-Manager to oversee daily store operations in collaboration with the management team. You will drive sales, protect store assets, and ensure excellent customer service while executing merchandising plans and standards.

The role requires supervising and developing staff, managing shifts, and maintaining security and loss prevention measures. A strong background in retail supervision is preferred. This position is full-time in Winchester, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in accordance with policy.
• Operates the store as the Manager On Duty with the management team.
• Maintains store security as a key-holding member of management.
• Handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains merchandising, cleanliness and operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates and Leads.
• Facilitates communication through daily briefings and meetings.
• Drops off bank deposits and manages change orders as needed.
• Picks up café/grocery supplies as needed.
• Consults with the General Manager on staff performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
