Job summary

Journeys Bloomington is hiring to support the Store Manager and Training roles. You will recruit, train and manage store personnel to hit sales goals, control costs, and protect assets.

You will assist in staffing, train a successful sales team, and coach staff to maintain policy adherence while delivering a high-energy, customer-focused in-store experience. This role requires 45 hours weekly and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
• Provide feedback and coaching to all employees while enforcing company policies
• Ensure initiatives are implemented according to company direction
• Develop talent for growth within the company
• Oversee store operations in the absence of management
• Handle loss prevention in leadership absence
• Communicate store needs effectively to managers
• Resolve customer issues and provide a full-service experience
• Demonstrate Journeys culture in the team
• Maintain excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and complete training leading to Co-Manager path
• Able to work 45 hours per week and night/weekend shifts
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long periods
