Job summary

Alpha is seeking experienced public-school educators to co-lead a full classroom in partnership with a district-employed teacher. The role focuses on motivation, ownership, and hands-on projects using Alpha’s mastery-based model.

You will model Alpha practices, coach in the moment, and help a partner teacher grow confidence to run the model more independently by year end. In-person placement is required in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years leading a full public-school classroom.
• Experience coaching or developing other educators in a public-school setting.
• Experience designing and delivering a project-based learning unit from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to build a classroom culture based on student ownership, clear expectations, accountability, and motivation.
• Willingness and ability to work in person at a participating public school in Springfield, Massachusetts, or Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the classroom with a district teacher and co-own outcomes.
• Build a student-led culture using goals, data, relationships, peer accountability, and incentives.
• Design project-based workshops that develop future-ready skills with clear objectives and measurement.
• Coach the partner teacher through the work and build confidence to lead more of the model.
• Track daily student data and adjust approaches based on what the data shows.
