Job summary

Alpha is partnering with public schools to place experienced teachers as Master Teachers, co-leading classrooms with district teachers in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX. The role centers on student ownership, project-based learning, and real-time coaching to scale a mastery-based model.

The position is full-time, W2, with benefits and a $100,000 annual salary. You will collaborate closely with an experienced district educator to model Alpha practices and grow confidence in the new approach.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as the primary teacher responsible for a full-size public-school classroom.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing other educators in a public-school setting.
• Experience designing and delivering a project-based learning unit from the ground up.
• Ability to build a classroom culture based on ownership, clear expectations, accountability, and motivation.
• Strong interpersonal judgment and ability to influence peers without formal authority.
• Willingness to work in person at a participating public school in Springfield, MA or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Co-leading the classroom with a district teacher and building a true working partnership.
• Building a student-led culture with goals, live data, relationships, peer accountability, and incentives.
• Designing project-based learning workshops to develop future-ready skills.
• Coaching through action and giving in-the-moment feedback.
• Acting on student data daily to adapt teaching approach.
