Redefining youth sports through AI, design, and gamified performance

Stunner has been described by many as the Topgolf for soccer in your backyard, or the Peleton for soccer.

At Stunner, we’re reimagining the future of play, where AI, physical product, and digital scoring converge to create an entirely new sports experience. We’re building a smart soccer/ football goal that delivers real-time feedback, unlocks progressive training, and makes players feel like pros. A hybrid of hardware, mobile software, and spatial gameplay, Stunner aims to become the first truly interactive athletic product for youth players and families.

We’ve invested early capital, proven strong market traction via paid media, have had promising feedback from pro teams, pro players, and early fans, and are now building a founding team to take the MVP to market.

The Role: Founding CTO

This is not a “job.”

It’s a technical ownership stake in a product poised to define a category.

You will architect, shape, and scale the entire technology system behind Stunner, from prototype to production. You’ll help answer the questions that make or break great products:

• How does it feel to use?
• How is it built, at scale, at cost?
• What’s the tech that makes the magic invisible?

If you’ve built for scale, designed for delight, or shipped complex consumer electronics, you’ll see how rare this opportunity is.

Ideal Background

You’ve likely done one or more of the following:

• Built or scaled at companies in consumer electronics
• Founded or led product at a hardware + software startup
• Delivered products involving real-time feedback, sensor integration, mobile UI, and AI or CV-based insights
• Managed contract manufacturing and know what a BOM spreadsheet looks like
• Experience in leading hardware engineering with software integration
• Believe that play and performance can be reimagined with the right tools

Your Domain

• Define and lead product architecture: hardware, firmware, software

• Own MVP development, app integration, and vendor selection

• Plan for scale: DFM, quality assurance, and cost optimization

• Collaborate on monetization: hardware + subscription software tiers

• Work directly with the founder to shape hardware product, pitch, and investor narrative

Compensation & Structure

• Equity-first co-founder role
• Publicly listed on the founding team deck, pitch, and PR
• Compensation and hiring budget post-raise
• Location: Remote, but U.S.-based highly preferred
