Job summary

Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) seeks a Co-Executive Director, Development & Operations to provide strategic leadership for fundraising and financial operations in Oregon. The role collaborates with the Co-Executive Director, Advocacy & Strategy, and the Board to advance PIRC’s mission and sustainability.

This position helps represent PIRC publicly, strengthen relationships across Oregon, and support organizing for immigrant community power, with hybrid in-person Portland metro

Qualifications

• 5+ years in grassroots fundraising, donor cultivation, and grants.
• 3-5 years supervising staff.
• 3+ years in financial management (accounting basics, budget development).
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Commitment to racial justice and immigrant rights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish proficiency, or another language spoken by Oregon's immigrant communities.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead and represent PIRC with the Co-Executive Director, Advocacy & Programs.
• Co-develop a shared decision-making process, organizational strategy, and annual work plans (in consultation with staff and Board).
• Partner on staffing needs and team coordination.
• Represent PIRC publicly with donors, foundations, media, and partners.
• Directly supervise staff, including regular check-ins and performance support.
• Support goal-setting, professional development, and accountability.
• Foster a collaborative, equitable team culture.
• Design and lead individual donor strategy: recruitment, stewardship, retention.
• Design and lead grant strategy: prospecting, writing, management, reporting.
• Set up and manage a donor CRM.
• Co-Develop the annual budget with the Co-ED and key stakeholders; report quarterly to the Board.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and internal controls.
• Lead annual audit process with external auditors and Board Treasurer.
• Oversee financial systems and monthly reporting (with consultants as needed).
• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements, including tax filings.
• Implement contracts management, including billing and collection schedules.
• Develop and maintain HR policies; support hiring and onboarding.
• Develop and implement a conflict resolution policy for staff and Board.
