Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the CNS portfolio to advance an ecosystem-based engagement model.

You will provide clinical, economic and real-world evidence insights to KIs, LPLs, and healthcare professionals, shaping regional medical strategies and patient outcomes. The role involves collaboration across medical, patient access, marketing and market access teams, and requires substantial field activity.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or equivalent CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of health systems and delivery of patient care.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry dynamics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
• Ability to lead teams and projects strategically.
• Ability to summarize complex information for presentations and decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% depending on territory size.
• Preferred living location in a key city within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and scientific perspective to local execution plans addressing customer challenges to improve patient care.
• Build, cultivate and leverage external relationships with scientific/medical customers and organizations to understand trends and product knowledge.
• Develop deep understanding of the ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategy and priorities.
• Deliver evidence-based information on clinical, economic and humanistic value of Otsuka products.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to shape and execute medical strategies within planned timelines.
• Disseminate disease state and healthcare landscape information to field customers as priorities evolve.
• Provide clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers.
• Assist with clinical trials and health economic outcomes research to support evidence generation.
• Mentor peers and support safety/pharmacovigilance and training across functions.
• Engage in speaker bureau activities to support product education across territories.
