Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer 2 to perform CNO reverse engineering and software development for network-based devices at Fort Meade, MD.

You will design, implement and integrate tactical software in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with analysts, operators, data scientists and other engineers to support mission-critical needs. The role requires Unix/Linux familiarity, reverse engineering on Linux devices with Ghidra/IDA Pro, knowledge of TCP/IP and network traffic

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor degree in CS/CE with 4–6 years of software development experience
• Experience reverse engineering Linux-based network devices using Ghidra or IDA Pro
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and network traffic analysis tools like Wireshark
• Proficiency in C/C++/Python/Assembly; ability to produce production-ready software
• Ability to derive and document stakeholder requirements; support fielded systems
• Familiarity with Git, SVN, Jira, Confluence and related tooling

Responsibilities

• Derive, document, and analyze stakeholder requirements.
• Port, modify or augment existing toolsets for CNO tasks.
• Provide rapid prototypes for early validation and user feedback.
• Deliver production-ready tools that operate within mission constraints.
