Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is hiring a CNG Service Technician Apprentice for a part-time contract (8–10 hours per week). The role involves preventative maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting of CNG and gas systems, with travel across Southern California.

You will report to the service manager and work to diagnose, repair, and document service activities for customers. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background and drug

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Must pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNG compressors and fueling stations.
• Troubleshoot and repair high‑pressure breathing air, CNG, and other gas systems using mechanical and electrical procedures.
• Provide technical troubleshooting assistance directly with customers to diagnose problems.
• Read and use mechanical and electrical schematics to complete repairs and help troubleshoot problems.
• Obtain and provide parts breakdowns to complete repairs.
• Keep records of work hours, parts used, and work performed for each service call.
• Inspect warranty parts and determine operational fit‑for‑duty.
• Complete technical product reports on product problems encountered.
• Handle other requests from management.
• Regular attendance and physical presence at work is essential.
