Job summary

Freedom is seeking an experienced CNG Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNG compression equipment and related systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with natural gas compression systems, and the ability to work safely and independently.

This role includes customer interaction, an on-call rotation, and travel as required. Travel to Colorado sites and a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and on-time service define

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Compressor maintenance experience with natural gas systems.
• Experience with high-pressure gas systems.
• Experience troubleshooting ESD systems.
• Experience troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read OEM and O&M manuals.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Safety-focused approach to work.
• Proficiency with computers and service documentation systems.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and travel

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on compressors and CNG equipment, including oil and filter changes and monitoring readings.
• Conduct scheduled OEM-based maintenance and inspect/replace valves, packing, etc.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNG equipment and related systems.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls as required.
• Complete daily service documentation accurately and on time.
• Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Primary On-call Technician for all Colorado sites
• Travel as required to support customers and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
