Job summary

Freedom AFI is seeking an experienced CNG Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNG compression equipment and related systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and experience with natural gas compression, and must be able to work safely and independently, including travel and on‑call duties.

The role includes customer interaction, on‑call rotation, and travel as required to support customer needs.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
Compressor maintenance experience with natural gas systems.
Experience with high‑pressure gas systems.
Experience troubleshooting ESD systems.
Experience troubleshooting low‑voltage electrical systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Able to read OEM/OM manuals and follow procedures.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation and travel.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on compressors and CNG equipment, including oil/filters and monitoring readings.
Follow OEM maintenance schedules and inspect components.
Troubleshoot and repair CNG equipment and related systems.
Respond to emergency/after‑hours service calls.
Complete service reports accurately and on time.
Work in the field with minimal supervision.
Build strong relationships with customers.
Travel to Colorado sites and other locations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
