Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler / Assembly Technician for our Roanoke, TX facility. You will perform hands-on mechanical assembly of natural gas fuel systems, reading work orders, blueprints, and schedules to determine the required operations and parts.

Work includes using hand/power tools, operating equipment, documenting processes, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This onsite role offers a contract-to-hire path with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Experience with metal and sub-assembly work in manufacturing.
Mechanical assembly of fuel systems or similar equipment.
Working on assembly lines and production environments.
Basic wiring tasks related to fuel system assemblies.
Proficient with hand tools and power tools for assembly.
Experience using ERP systems for production documentation.

Responsibilities

Assemble sub‑assemblies, structural components, and plumbing for fuel systems.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to determine operations sequence.
Follow standard work processes to maintain quality and safety.
Inspect components during assembly for proper fit and tolerances.
Document assembly records accurately (handwritten and electronic).
Operate and maintain assembly tooling and equipment.
Support Lean assembly activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Gain proficiency in assigned functions on the assembly line.
