Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a skilled Compression Mechanic to maintain, repair, and install stationary CNG terminals and booster mobile compressors in Texas. You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, install CNG systems, and ensure safety and emissions standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of compressor experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential for timely, safe operations in field settings.

Qualifications

• 3 years of compressor experience, ideally with electric motors, engines and compressors.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CNG systems and related equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and Diagnosis: diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in CNG compressors.
• Maintenance and Repairs: perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on CNG fuel systems and components.
• CNG System Installation: install, repair, and maintain CNG fuel systems, tanks, regulators, and gauges.
• Safety Compliance: ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for CNG systems.
• Emissions Testing: conduct emissions tests to meet local and federal standards.
• Record Keeping: document maintenance, parts used, procedures, and test results.
• Troubleshooting: identify and resolve technical problems related to CNG systems and performance.
• Collaboration: work with teammates and supervisors to maintain workflow and deadlines.
• Upgrading and Retrofitting: propose and implement upgrades for performance and safety.
• Training: stay updated with developments in CNG technology and obtain certifications as needed.
