Job summary

Wells is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented candidate to operate CNC machinery and woodworking equipment in a fast-paced production setting. The role involves reading CAD and Revit drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring products meet precise quality and dimensional standards through inspection and measurement.

The ideal applicant has carpentry experience, basic math skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training, carpentry experience, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines preferred.
• Experience machining wood, foam, and plastics.
• Experience troubleshooting CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret CAD, Revit drawings, and pour sheets to understand project specifications.
• Program and operate CNC machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling, grinding, and related fabrication tasks.
• Translate technical instructions into machine commands to ensure accurate production execution.
• Prepare, load, and stage raw materials and components for CNC machining operations.
• Conduct test runs and adjust machine settings to ensure output meets required specifications.
• Operate CNC machines through full production cycles to fabricate parts efficiently and consistently.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Inspect, measure, and verify finished products to ensure compliance with drawings and tolerances.
