Job summary

Launch in Addison, IL is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and run vertical milling centers, install tooling, verify programs, and read engineering drawings. You will perform first-article checks, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot minor issues, often handling two machines and multiple setups per shift in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

The role requires blueprint literacy, micrometer/caliper proficiency, and comfort with Fanuc controls.

Qualifications

• CNC setup experience on vertical milling centers.
• Blueprint literacy is required.
• Quality inspection skills with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Comfort with Fanuc controls.
• G-code and M-code knowledge beneficial.
• Exposure to 5-axis CNC equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC vertical milling centers to meet specs and quality targets.
• Install tooling and fixtures; upload/verify programs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform first-article and in-process checks with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Tweak offsets and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Operate up to two machines at a time; complete 1–5 setups per shift.
