Join to apply for the CNC Vertical Mill Operator Machinist role at Wilcox Industries.

We are currently seeking a full-time CNC Vertical Mill Operator Machinist to work the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday (4PM - 2AM). This role involves operating machine tools, understanding tooling and materials, and creating setups for machining parts. The operator monitors the CNC Vertical Mill for issues and takes corrective actions.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Read and set up proven programs, making minor adjustments independently.
2. Perform machine operations as instructed.
3. Inspect parts for quality standards to minimize scrap.
4. Collaborate with team members to produce quality parts within tolerances.
5. Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other federal requirements.
6. Perform additional duties to support business needs.

Process Improvement

1. Identify problems, suggest solutions, and participate in corrective actions.
2. Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use precision measuring instruments (Caliper, Micrometer) to check tolerances.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.
• Legal authorization to access U.S. government-controlled technology.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in noisy environments.
• Prolonged standing and bending.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and climb.
• Wear eye and ear protection.
